Independent Piano Teacher - Onslow Village, Guildford, Surrey

I'm Claire Stennett, an independent piano teacher in Guildford, Surrey, UK. I offer piano lessons to all abilities from age 5 to adult.  I teach from my home on a Ronisch upright piano and have a digital Kawai piano for demonstration.

Lessons are weekly during term time. I offer 45 minutes lessons for beginners and intermediates, moving to 60 minutes for advanced students.

My rates are currently £37 per hour, with an annual studio fee of £25.  These fees are inclusive of the music books I provide and studio licenced music, games an other resources.  

Lesson fees are subject to change.


My Piano Teaching Philosophy 

I believe in providing piano lessons that are fun, engaging and adaptable, which focus not only on teaching reading and technique, but also fostering musical creativity and curiosity.  As well as learning to play from musical notation, students will develop skills in improvisation, composition, playing by ear, performance and more; all this to develop independent learners who enjoy musical exploration and discovery.
